PE School Council

PE Council 

The PE councils role is to promote sport at St Mark’s Catholic Primary School and give every child the opportunity to take part. They lead break, lunch and after school clubs/activities and play an important role at sporting events such a sports day. They act as a voice for pupils with regard to sports activity within school and encourage pupils to become involved in sport 


The PE Council is:  


Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 & Year 6 



Sports Ambassadors 

Their role is to oversee school sport and to increase participation in competition and extra-curricular activity. They have monthly meetings with our sports coach (Mr Noblett) to discuss new ideas initiatives that they can deliver. They are also being trained to help officiate at tournaments.

Health Activity Leaders 

Our Health Activity Leaders promote a healthy lifestyle by providing children with fruit at break times.

Play Leaders 

Our Play Leaders promote and encourage physical activity at school. They help to run Daily Mile for their class each day. Key Stage Two Play Leaders set up games for children to take part in on the playground during Zone Parc. 


Year 5 & Year 6  



Sports Events 

Throughout the year we involve ourselves in various sports tournaments and events.
