Story mapping 19.5.20

Good morning Nursery,

I hope you are all having a lovely morning so far!

Can anyone remember and tell me what the story is called that we are looking at this week? That's right, well done for remembering! It is 'The Three Little Pigs'. I hope you enjoyed the story yesterday!

Today, we are going to see if we can map the story out in the same order of what happened in the story.

To do this, I would like you to watch this video - https://www.thenational.academy/reception/english/story-map-reception-wk1-3#slide-2 (starting at 4:40, if you want to get straight into the story mapping, or there is a phonics session first)

Once you have watched the video, I would like you to create a story map of your own, telling me the story of 'The Three Little Pigs' in the right order.

Make sure those brain boxes are turned all the way up today! Some things to think about during this time:

What happened first?

What material did the first little pig build his house out of?

What did the wolf do?

What material did the second little pig build his house out of?

What did the wolf do?

What material did the third little pig build his house out of?

What did the wolf do?

What happened at the end of the story?

Now that you have finished your story map, share it with a family member in your house or a friend or family member over facetime! (this is a great act of kindness for our mental health week!)

Well done everyone, I am so proud of you all!

Missing you all so much,
