We're going on a bear hunt 22.6.20

Good morning Nursery,

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend and are ready for a new week of learning!

Can you guess what this week's story is going to be? I will give you some clues:

  1. There is a bear.
  2. There is a family.
  3. They are going on the hunt for something.

That's right! Our story this week is...We're going on a bear hunt! I love this story! I hope you enjoy it to!

Your first task today is to this the story with your grown up, you can do so by following this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gyI6ykDwds

Once you have listened to the story with your grown up, you know what time it is...talk time! Today, I would like you to think about:

  1. Where were the family going?
  2. What type of day was it?
  3. What obstacles did they have to face? e.g. mud, grass, river, snowstorm etc.
  4. They couldn't go under it or over it, so what did they have to do?
  5. Who did they meet in the cave?
  6. How do you think they felt when they saw the bear?
  7. What did they do? Where did they go?
  8. How do you think they felt when they got home safely?
  9. What was your favourite part of the story?
  10. If you were to go on a bear hunt who would you take with you?

For your second task today, we are going to go on a bear hunt very soon, but to be able to see through all of those obstacles we need some good equipment...I know! Binoculars!

Follow this link to create some fancy binoculars that you can do at home, make them nice and jazzy! https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/703756180538704/

I can't wait to see what they look like for our bear hunt!

Have fun you lovely lot!

Lots of love,
