Science

We have been continuing our learning about Light in our Science lessons and this week focussed on refraction. We conducted an experiment to see what would happen to an image (an arrow) when it was moved behind a bottle of water. It was like magic … the arrow changed direction! This is due to light waves travelling at different speeds when they go through other transparent materials such as water or glass.

This causes the rays of light to change direction and bend. This is called refraction.
