On Friday 11th March we held an own clothes day to raise money for families in the Ukraine. We raised a fabulous £727.40 which will be sent to the Archdiocese of Liverpool to ensure all the money raised will go directly to the people in need.
Year 4 made a Peace Tree with special messages and prayers for Ukraine.

Children had lots of fun on Thursday 3rd March celebrating World Book Day.
Children and staff came in to school either dressed as their favourite book character or in their own clothes with their favourite book.
Throughout the day we had fun with lots of different activities, some of which included
- we wore our slippers to get comfy when reading our books
- we do some quizzes about books
- we had a hot chocolate at the end of the day

                                                                Children’s Mental Health Week
It was Children’s Mental Health week last week. Each class focused on ‘growing together’.
Here are just a few examples of what our classes got up to.
Year 5
Year 5 had fun spelling out the word Growth using their bodies.
They also made hot air balloons and wrote the names of people who help them ‘soar’ or achieve things in their lives.
Year 6
Year 6 thought about what they can do to help themselves grow and achieve new challenges.

Nursery Christmas Trip – Croxteth Park
The Nursery children really enjoyed their trip to Croxteth Park. They fed and had hands on interaction with animals of all shapes and sizes. The children met lots of Christmas characters along the way and even danced with the Grinch. The trip was topped off with meeting Father Christmas who was happy to tell us we were all on the nice list.

We were super excited in Nursery because one of our reception friends brought in their pets. We got to meet them and look at the different animals. We met a corn snake, 2 guinea pigs, an albino frog and a leopard gecko.

                                                                Nursery visit Church!
Linked to our Come and See topic of ‘Celebration’, the children visited St. Mark’s Church to see where many religious celebrations take place. They also learnt about the key aspects of the church, for example, alter and crucifix. It was a very enjoyable visit.
